ITHACA, N.Y. - Binghamton men's and women's swimming lost dual meets at Cornell Tuesday night, with the men (3-4) falling 121-86 and the women (2-4) losing 144-91.
Senior Yun Qu (Hangzhou, China) won the 1000 free (10:43.30) and the 200 fly (2:02.5), setting the Cornell pool record in the butterfly race. Junior Laura Linek (Canandaigua, N.Y.) won both the 50 free (24.00) and 100 free (53.35).
On the men's side, senior Chris McGuire (Essex, England) set a new school record in the 200 free, touching second in 1:42.78. He also won the 200 fly (1:54.39) - nearly four seconds ahead of the field.
The teams are now off until hosting Drexel on January 10.
