Tayla named America East Men's Swimming Performer of the Week
America East Conference Release
BUFFALO, N.Y.--Freshman Kaan Tayla (Ankara, Turkey) has been named the America East Men's Swimming Performer of the Week for all races up until November 1. This marks the first time in his career he has recieved this honor.
"Kaan's award for America East Men's Swimming Performer of the Week is certainly well deserved. He swam any freestyle event that we needed him to win, opposed to his best events," head coach Patrice Back said. "I feel he is winning this award for not only being a good swimmer, but as a team player."
In three meets this season, Tayla has placed first in all seven individual events that he has swam.
