BU men's tennis keeps rolling with 5-2 wins over Dartmouth, Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Binghamton men's tennis (3-0) defeated Dartmouth (5-2) and Army (5-2) Sunday afternoon at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Bearcats captured a combined 8 of 12 singles matches and 5 of 6 doubles contests in sweeping two regional opponents. In the process, Binghamton pinned the first loss of the season on the Big Green (4-1).

Sophomore Gilbert Wong and junior Arnav Jain won twice at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Jain improved to 14-3 overall, 3-0 in duals.

"It was a good weekend for us," head coach Adam Cohen said. "The guys played hard on the road. It was particularly tough today, playing two good opponents with only one hour between the matches. Gilbert (Wong) played especially well today. We now have to gear up for Cornell and three challenging matches next weekend."

Binghamton next faces Cornell, Marist and Georgetown next weekend in Ithaca.
