WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Binghamton men's tennis opened its spring season at a non-scoring Army event over the weekend. The Bearcats played "hidden duals" against the host Black Knights, Marist and Monmouth at the Litchenberg Tennis Center.
Against Army, BU won five of six singles matches but dropped all three doubles matches. The Bearcats went 4-3 in singles and 0-3 in doubles against Marist and swept four singles and three doubles contests against Monmouth.
Junior Sven Vloedgraven, the top-ranked player in the Northeast region, went 2-0 in singles. Sophomore Gilbert Wong went 3-0 in singles and senior Moshe Levy and sophomore Alexandre Haggai each went 2-0.
The Bearcats face Brown on Saturday and return to West Point to play Dartmouth and Army on Sunday.
