BU men's tennis performs well at Brown Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Binghamton men's tennis competed at the Brown Invitational over the weekend, playing singles and doubles matches against Brown, Yale and Boston College. The Bearcats went 9-6 in singles, including a 7-1 mark from their top four players. The team was 5-10 in doubles play.

Sophomore Arnav Jain won both his singles matches in straight sets, as did freshman Gilbert Wong. Junior Moshe Levy also went 2-0.

"Our top players played well in singles and I thought Evan (Algier) had a good weekend as well, beating a good player from Yale in his first match," head coach Adam Cohen said. "Doubles is something we need to work on as we move forward. We're looking to get ready for the Columbia event this weekend."

Binghamton next competes at the Columbia Classic on October 10-12.
