BU men's tennis edged by Buffalo 4-3

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- Buffalo won the final three matches on the courts to steal a 4-3 victory over visiting Binghamton men's tennis (8-9) Sunday afternoon at the Village Glen Tennis Center. The host Bulls (5-14) seized the doubles point and then rallied from 3-1 down to split the singles matches and grab the team win.

Binghamton, resting two of its top three players for singles, dropped three-set matches at the fourth, fifth and sixth spots.

Senior Faisal Mohamed (Lynbrook, N.Y.) improved to 15-9 with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles. Freshmen Sven Vloedgraven (Lochem, Netherlands) and Arnav Jain (Mumbai, India) posted wins at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Vloedgraven is now 10-4 in duals, and Jain raised his record to 123-3 overall, 11-2 in duals.

Binghamton next plays FDU and NJIT on April 4.
