men's tennis defeats Buffalo, 6-1, and FDU, 7-0 in home debut VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton men's tennis made the most of its first home matches of the season with resounding wins over Buffalo and FDU Saturday afternoon at West Gym Courts. The Bearcats (8-13) won eight of the nine matches en route to a 6-1 victory over the Bulls (6-7) in the opening match. Binghamton then sprinkled its seniors throughout the lineup and took all nine matches in a 7-0 win over FDU (6-11). Binghamton has now won six of its last seven matches as it surges toward postseason and its quest for a fourth straight America East title. Seniors Sven Vloedgraven and Arnav Jain each won twice at the top two singles spots. Vloedgraven is now 29-7 overall, 18-2 in duals. He allowed his two opponents just four total games in convincing straight-set wins. Jain raised his record to 23-9, 18-3 in duals. In his quest for 100 career wins, Jain now sits at 98. Junior Gilbert Wong, also in his final collegiate season before graduating early, picked up two wins. Seniors Evan Algier and Andreas Danielsson scored wins at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, against FDU. The Bearcats travel to Hartford to face the Hawks and Stony Brook in the team's final duals of the regular season next Saturday. Binghamton 6, Buffalo 1 DOUBLES Order
