BU men's tennis suffers narrow defeat at Coastal Carolina 4-3

CONWAY, S.C. -- Binghamton men's tennis (11-6) captured the doubles point but host Coastal Carolina (15-5) won four of the six singles matches to post a 4-3 win Wednesday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center. The Bearcats were playing without their top player, Moshe Levy, who is nursing an injury.

Sophomore Sven Vloedgraven and freshman Gilbert Wong won their singles matches after teaming for a victory at No. 1 doubles. Vloedgraven rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, raising his overall record to 22-9. Wong earned a three-set victory at No. 3 singles, lifting his team-best record to 28-7. Earlier, the pair posted an 8-6 win in doubles.

Binghamton plays at College of Charleston on Thursday.
