BU men's tennis edged by Concordia in regular season finale 4-3

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Nationally 12th-ranked Concordia College (N.Y.) won four of six singles matches to edge Binghamton (11-10) 4-3 in a men's tennis match Sunday afternoon at West Gym Courts. In their regular-season finale, the Bearcats won the doubles point but came up short in singles, with the guests' three-set victory at No. 5 providing the winning margin.

Freshman Sven Vloedgraven (Lochem, Netherlands) posted a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. He is now 16-8 overall, 14-5 in duals. Earlier, Vloedgraven teamed with junior Sebastian Dietz (Leun, Germany) to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.

Freshman Arnav Jain (Mumbai, India) earned a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles - raising his team-best record to 17-3 overall, 15-2 in duals.

Binghamton heads to New Haven, Conn., for the America East Championship on April 25-27.
