men's tennis loses to No. 66 Cornell 6-1 in ITA consolation match CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Binghamton men's tennis continued its slow start to the 2011 spring season with a 6-1 loss to No. 66 Cornell in the consolation match of the ITA Kickoff Classic Virginia Regional, played Saturday afternoon from Boyd Tinsley Courts at University of Virginia's Boar's Head Sports Club. Binghamton narrowly lost the doubles point and then lost five of the six singles matches - all in straight sets. Senior Arnav Jain was the lone bright spot. Jain teamed with junior Alexandre Haggai for an 8-6 win in doubles and then posted the team's only singles win - a three-set triumph. After splitting the first two sets, Jain won the super tiebreak 10-5. The Bearcats are off until traveling to Lincoln, Neb. on February 11-12 to face Western Michigan and the host Cornhuskers. No.
