BU men's tennis topples Dartmouth and UNC Greensboro

HANOVER, N.H. -- Binghamton men's tennis rolled to a pair of wins Saturday at the Boss Tennis Center at Dartmouth. The Bearcats (3-0) defeated UNC Greensboro 5-1 before knocking off the Ivy League host Big Green 4-3.

In the first match of the day against Greensboro, the teams played singles only and BU won five of the six matches. Against Dartmouth, the Bearcats captured the pivotal doubles point and clinched the win with freshman Gilbert Wong's straight-set triumph at No. 4 singles. Wong won both his matches to improve to 17-4 overall.

"It was a nice weekend to go beat two quality opponents on the same day," head coach Adam Cohen said. "Now we have to get ready for a very good Cornell team."

Binghamton travels to Cornell on Wednesday.
