MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Binghamton men's tennis (5-1) showed the strength of its lineup with a 5-2 upset win over 53rd-ranked Drake University Saturday afternoon on the campus of University of Minnesota. The win was BU's first-ever against a nationally-ranked opponent. The Bearcats captured the doubles point before winning four of the six singles matches.

Freshman Gilbert Wong rolled to a straight-set win at No. 4 singles, improving to 20-4 overall, 6-0 in duals. Earlier, he and sophomore Sven Vloedgraven posted an 8-5 win at the top doubles spot. Vloedgraven also won his singles match at No. 2, lifting his record to 14-6 overall.
