BU men's tennis defeats Georgetown 5-2

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Binghamton University men's tennis (4-6) captured the doubles point and won four of six singles matches to defeat Georgetown 5-2 Saturday at the Army-Navy Country Club.

"We played hard," head coach Adam Cohen said. "It was a hard-fought victory over a good team."

Senior Faisal Mohamed (Lynbrook, N.Y.) earned a three-set win at No. 1 singles for his 12th victory of the season and 72nd career win. Junior Sebastian Dietz (Leun, Germany) returned to the lineup after an injury and posted a 6-4, 7-6 win at the fourth spot. Mohamed and Dietz also teamed for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.

Binghamton next plays George Washington on Sunday.
