BU men's tennis beats George Washington 5-2

McLEAN, Va. -- Binghamton University men's tennis (5-6) swept the doubles matches and won four of six singles matches to defeat host George Washington 5-2 Sunday at the Regency Sport & Health Club.

"It was a good weekend for us," head coach Adam Cohen said. "Our guys competed hard and beat two respectable opponents on the road, which is never easy. It was encouraging to see all our guys back in the lineup for the first time since our match with Columbia at the end of January."

Sophomore Moshe Levy (Ra'ananna, Israel) posted a straight-set win at No. 2 singles to improve to 6-2 in duals. Freshman Sven Vloedgraven (Lochem, Netherlands) notched a 6-4, 6-2 win at third singles for his fifth win in the last six matches.

Binghamton next travels to face Ivy League member Cornell at 3 p.m. on Friday.
