Binghamton men's tennis falls 6-1 to Penn at ECAC Championship

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Binghamton made its debut at the ECAC Division I Men's Invitational Tennis Championship, falling 6-1 to No. 4 Penn in a first round match played Friday morning at the USTA National Tennis Center. The No. 13 Bearcats (1-1) will now face America East rival Stony Brook in a Saturday match. The No. 12 Seawolves were defeated 6-1 by No. 5 Columbia.

The Bearcats received their lone point from sophomore Faisal Mohamed (Lynbrook)at No. 5 singles. Mohamed dropped the first set before rallying for a 4-6, 7-6 (4), 1-0 (11-9) victory.
