BU men's tennis loses at No. 40 Penn State 6-1

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Binghamton University men's tennis suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of No. 40 Penn State Saturday morning at the Indoor Tennis Center. The nationally-ranked Nittany Lions are the highest-ranked opponent BU has ever faced in the regular season.

Sophomore Moshe Levy (Ra'ananna, Israel) earned BU's lone point with a three-set win at third singles. After dropping the opening set, Levy broke serve at 5-5 in the second, and held on to win 7-5. He then took the third set 6-4 to claim the match.

"It was good to see Moshe play at the level he's capable of paying after missing much of last season," head coach Adam Cohen said. " To come back against a quality player was a positive. As a team, we've got some things to work on to get ready for next week."

Binghamton next faces Manhattan on January 31.
