BU men's tennis defeats Quinnipiac 6-1

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton University men's tennis (10-9) rolled to a 6-1 win over visiting Quinnipiac Sunday afternoon at West Gym Courts. The Bearcats captured all three doubles matches and then won five of six singles contests.

Freshman Sven Vloedgraven (Lochem, Netherlands) moved up to first singles and posted a 6-1, 6-0 win, improving to 11-5 in duals. Junior Sebastian Dietz (Leun, Germany) rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles - his 14th win of the year.

Binghamton hosts America East rivals UMBC and Stony Brook next weekend in matches that will help determine seeding for the upcoming America East Championship. The Bearcats face UMBC Friday afternoon and take on Stony Brook Sunday morning.
