"It was a very tight match," head coach Michael Starke said. "I think the doubles point is what did us in."
Sophomore No. 1 Dan Hanegby (Herzliya, Israel) rolled to a straight set win, raising his overall record to 20-6 this season. Hanegby is 10-3 in duals. Freshmen Alex Dobrin (Flushing, N.Y.) and Faisal Mohamed (Lynbrook, N.Y.) recorded Binghamton's other singles wins at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Dobrin cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win, giving him a team-best 11-3 dual record. Mohamed was equally impressive in a 6-3, 6-2 win - his eighth dual match win.
The Bearcats are off until venturing south for their spring break. Binghamton will play five matches in a five day span in South Carolina, beginning with a March 21 match against Wisconsin-Whitewater at Hilton Head.
