Bearcats blanked by St. Louis 6-0

ORLANDO, Fla. - Binghamton (8-7) was swept in the six singles matches and suffered a 6-0 defeat to St. Louis in the team's opening match of its spring trip to Orlando. The doubles matches were cancelled due to rain.

The day's closest match came at sixth singles, where junior Steve Spencer (Plantation, Fla./Nova) lost a three-set match. Spencer held a 4-3 lead in the third set before his opponent rallied.

"Steve played a good match with good strong serves and consistant baseline play," head coach Michael Starke said.
