BU men's tennis rolls over Temple 5-1

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Binghamton University men's tennis (7-7) won five of the six singles matches and evened its season record with a 5-1 victory over host Temple Saturday night at the Temple Pavilion. The teams didn't play the doubles matches.

Freshman Sven Vloedgraven (Lochem, Netherlands) posted a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win at the top spot. He improved to 7-4 in duals this season.

Freshman Arnav Jain (Mumbai, India) rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Jain raised his record to 9-3 overall, 7-2 in duals.

"I think this match shows we can juggle some people around and move some people into the lineup and still go out and beat a respectable opponent," head coach Adam Cohen said."We battled back from a break down in second, third and fourth singles to eventually win the first set in each of those contests. That momentum carried us into the second sets, where we won five matches in straight sets."

Binghamton hosts St. Bonaventure on March 16 at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
