Immediate Release: April 8, 2006 Senior Richemn Mourad (Sao Paulo, Brazil) posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and sophomore Alex Dobrin (Flushing, N.Y.) went three sets to earn a 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 win at the No. 2 spot. Senior Brian O'Connor (New Rochelle, N.Y.) improved to 20-5 overall with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No 3. "It was a hard-fought match," head coach Michael Starke said. "We came out a bit more fired up in singles." Binghamton next hosts arch rival Stony Brook Monday at 2 p.m. The winner will have the inside track on the No. 1 seed for the America East Championship. The Bearcats have edged the Seawolves three consecutive years in the conference title match. DOUBLES |
