FLUSHING, N.Y. -- Sophomore Arnav Jain won three of four matches to claim runnerup honors in the fourth singles flight at the USTA National Tennis Center Invitational this weekend. Jain's performance highlighted a strong showing from BU's four singles and two doubles entries, which went a combined 15-6.
Sophomore Sven Vloedgraven dropped his opening match in the No. 2 draw before winning three consoltation matches. Junior Moshe Levy won his first match in the fifth singles flight to reach the round of 8. Freshman Gilbert Wong also played in the No. 5 draw, and went 3-1.
Binghamton's two doubles teams each went 2-1 in the second flight.
