America East Release
VESTAL, N.Y. -- Sophomore Jessica Hennig, junior Robb Quiller and senior Andy Haupt have all been named to the 2011 America East Track & Field All-Academic Squads. The announcement was made by the conference office.
America East All-Academic squads for men's and women's track & field are made up of 10 student-athletes (for each gender) but can be more if there is a tie in voting. To be nominated for the distinction, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve for their team and participate in at least 50 percent of their teams games or competitions. In the classroom, student-athletes must have a 3.30 GPA and have completed at least one calendar year at their institution. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.
Hennig, who captured the women's 400 at the America East Indoor Championships for the second year in a row, has maintained a 3.59 GPA in the classroom. Quiller, who tied for third in the men's pole vault at the same meet, carries a 3.75 GPA. Haupt, meanwhile, was part of the record-setting men's 4x400 relay team at the America East meet and placed third in the 200. He has a 3.30 GPA.
With the 2011 indoor season now complete, the Bearcats are gearing up for the first outdoor meet of the season, which takes place March 26 at the West Point Invitational.
