2007 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton lands four on America East Conference Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Squad America East Conference Release VESTAL, N.Y.-- Senior Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.), juniors Keisha Short (Yephank, N.Y.) and Katie Wilmer (North Syracuse, N.Y.) and sophomore Katie Radzik (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) have been named to the America East Conference Indoor Track & Field All-Academic squads. To be selected to the squad, a student-athlete is required to be a top-three finisher at the conference championship meet and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 entering the season. Quiller broke his own conference record in the men's pole vault at the America East Indoor Meet this past weekend. His top jump of 17-8 1/2 earned him Field Athlete of the Meet honors for the third time in four season and solidified his chances of advancing to the NCAA Indoor Championships for the second time in three seasons. Radzik placed second in the women's 5,000 (17:23) at the conference meet while Short was second in the 400 (56.69) and Wilmer tied for second in the pole vault (10-10). Binghamton, which placed fourth in the conference at both the men's and women's conference meet, continues its indoor season at the ECAC/IC4A championships in Boston next weekend. |
