Binghamton track & field competes at Bucknell Invitational
LEWISBURG, Pa-- Binghamton's men's 4x400 relay team placed first, highlighting Binghamton's performance at the Bucknell Invitational. There was no team scoring for the two-day meet, which concluded on Saturday.
The Bearcat quartet of Dustin Ross, Casey Gilbert, Zach Keefer and Cazal Arnett clocked a stadium-record and IC4A-qualifying time of 3:12.58. Arnett went on to place second in the 400 (48.01) while Keefer was seventh in the 400 hurdles.
Casey Quaglia was second in the 1,500 (3:50) while Jeff Martinez was third in the 10,000 (30:05) and shattered the previous school record of 30:14.99, which was set by Art Gunther in 1992.
On the women's side, the 4x100 team of Jessica Conter, Jasmine Hinson, Krystelle Patrice and Kim Williams was third (48.47). Hinson was also fourth in the 200 (25.50) and part of the 4 x 400 relay that placed fourth (3:53.02)
Binghamton returns to Lewisburg next Saturday for the Bucknell team challenge.
NOTE: The previous stadium record in the 4 x 400 relay of 3:14.55 was set back in 1990 by Penn State.
