Binghamton track & field opens season at Cornell Indoor Open
ITHACA, N.Y.-- Senior Cazal Arnett won the men's 300 and anchored the first-place 4x400 relay team, highlighting the Binghamton track & field squad's first meet of the season at the Cornell Indoor Open on Saturday. On the women's side, there were a pair of school records.
Arnett clocked a winning time of 34.41 in the 300. He later joined sophomore Dustin Ross, senior Christian Smith and sophomore Casey Gilbert to record a first-place time of 3:20.37 in the 4x400. Also on the men's side, sophomore Adam Helman was second in the pole vault with an IC4A-qualifying height of 16-0 3/4.
Jess Hennig was fourth in the women's 300 with a time of 41.25, which broke her own school record of 41.38 (which she set last season). Junior Kaitlin Sullivan was fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.02. That broke her own school record of 9.04, which was also set last year. Sophomore Jenna Marrione was third in the pole vault with an ECAC-qualifying height of 11-9 3/4.
