Binghamton notches three individual victories at Cornell Indoor Track Open

WEST POINT, N.Y.-- Freshman Cazal Arnett (Jamaica, N.Y.), sophomore Caitlyn Wright (Ithaca, N.Y.) and senior Kris Yelverton (Vestal, N.Y.) each recorded first-place finishes, pacing the Binghamton track & field squads at the Cornell Indoor Open. There were no team scores kept at the event.

Arnett took top honors in the men's 400 (49.91) and Yelverton captured the men's pole vault (15-3). Wright was the women's lone winner, placing first in the 500 (1:19.91).

Senior Keisha Short (Yaphank, N.Y.) was second in the women's 400 (58.78) while freshman Ashley Horton (Candor, N.Y.) was the runner-up in the women's mile (5:14.38).

Binghamton heads to the New York City Armory next Friday at 2 p.m. for the Great Dane Classic.
