Binghamton track & field squads compete at Florida Relays
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Senior Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.) placed second in the pole vault, highlighting the Binghamton track & field teams' showing at the Florida Relays on Saturday. His height of 16-6 3/4 marked the second consecutive meet in which he has met the NCAA Regional qualifying standard.
Junior Kris Yelverton (Vestal, N.Y.) won the pole vault in the College B Division with a height of 15-9. On the women's side, sophomore Kim Williams (Buffalo, N.Y.) broke the school record in the 400 with a time of 56.39. While she did not place in the event, Williams eclipsed the 1999 mark of 56.77 set by Aniecia Modeste.
Binghamton heads to the Virginia Onesty Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
