Quiller wins two events, named Athlete of the Meet at Great Dane Indoor Track Classic
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Sophomore Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.) was named the men's Athlete of the Meet, highlighting Binghamton's performace at the Great Dane Indoor Track Classic on Sunday evening at the New York City Armory. Quiller won both the 55 hurdles (7.61 seconds) and the pole vault (16-2 3/4). His time in the 55 hurdles met the qualifying standard for the ECAC Indoor Championships.
Other winners for Binghamton included junior Erica Angell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) in the women's 3,000 (10:28.34) and junior Joy Romulus (Washingtonville, N.Y.) in the women's 800 (2:20.76).
Binghamton finished 6th out of 13 teams in the women's meet with 56 points and eighth out of 12 teams in the men's meet with 58.50 points.
