Binghamton track & field squads compete at New Balance Collegiate Invitational and Cornell Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y.-- Binghamton University posted two very impressive performances on Saturday afternoon at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.

Senior Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.) improved his NCAA provisional ranking with a strong performance as he took first place in the pole vault with a winning mark of 17-4 1/2.

At the Cornell Invitational, meanwhile, Binghamton posted three individual winners. Junior Kris Yelverton (Vestal, N.Y.) captured the men's pole vault (15-3), senior Kevin Hall (Glen Falls, N.Y.) took top honors in the men's shot put (48-9 1/2) while junior Keisha Short (Yephank, N.Y.) won the women's 200 (26.00).
