The men's distance medley relay team of freshmen Michael Schieck and Jesse McCormick and sophomores Cazal Arnett and Erik van Ingen placed fourth and shattered the school record with a time of 9:53,13. The old mark of 10:11.47 was set last season.
Sophomore Erik van Ingen placed sixth overall in the 800 with a school-record time of 1:51.89. The old mark of 1:53.08 was set by Frank Savinon when he won the 2003 America East Indoor title.
Senior Joanel Lopez finished 11th in the shot put but he broke his own school record with a throw of 53-8 1/2. His previous best of 53-1 was set last week at the Great Dane Classic. Lopez has now broken the program record in the shot put three times this indoor season.
