Binghamton track & field in action at pair of meets


LEWISBURG, PA.-- Sophomore Erik van Ingen qualified for the NCAA Regional meet with his performance in the 1,500 at the Bucknell Invitational. van Ingen was second with a time of 3:47.45, eclipsing the qualifying standard of 3:47.80.


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.-- Junior Caitlin Wright broke her own school record, highlighting Binghamton's showing at the Virginia/Lou Onesty Invitational on Saturday.

Wright's placed second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:01.54. In the process, she broke her 2008 mark of 1:02.64. Freshman Michelle Eberhart was fifth in the triple jump (37-3) and freshman Kaitlin Sullivan was seventh in the 400 hurdles (1:05.00).

On the men's side, senior Justin Hidalgo was fifth in the hammer and freshman Nelson Hall was fifth in the high jump (6-2 3/4).
