Track & field teams compete
at Penn State National Open and Colgate Invitational
PENN STATE NATIONAL OPEN
STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-- Senior Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.) placed third in the men's pole
vault (16-3 3/4) while sophomore Katie
Radzik (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) was sixth in the women's 5,000
and junior Katie
Wilmer (North Syracuse, N.Y.) was sixth in the women's
pole vault (11-6 1/4). Radzik's time met the ECAC qualifying
In the unseeded section of the women's 4x400 relay, the quartet
of freshman Hana
Wright (Canandaigua, N.Y.) and Deahna
Vinson (Monsey, N.Y.), sophomore Kim
Williams (Buffalo, N.Y.) and junior Keisha Short (Yephank, N.Y.) clocked a school-record time of 3:52.02.
In the process, they also met the ECAC qualifying standard.
No team scores were kept during the meet.

HAMILTON, N.Y.-- Both the men's and women's teams placed
second in the three-team Colgate Invitational. Colgate won the
men's meet with 121 points, Binghamton was second with 91 and
SUNY Alfred took third with 57. Colgate's women also scored 121
points, Binghamton took second with 94 and SUNY Cortland was
third with 86.5.
Gaube (Vestal, N.Y.) , a 2006 Vestal High School graduate,
won the men's 3,000 meters at the Colgate Invitational on Saturday.
His winning time was 8:48.02 seconds. Sophomore Connor
Martin (Fairport, N.Y.) was Binghamton's other men's
event winner, taking the 5,000 meters in 16:06.53. On the women's
side, freshman Jasmine
Hinson (Beacon, N.Y.) was first in the 200 in 26.73 seconds.
