Release: April 5, 2008 Contact: David O'Brian(dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton track & field opens outdoor season at Princeton/ Sam Howell Invitational PRINCETON, N.J. -- Freshman Eric Van Ingen (Marathon, N.Y.) and senior Dayna Johnson (Brentwood, N.Y.) each placed in two events, as the Binghamton track & field squads began their outdoor campaigns at the Princeton/Sam Howell Invitational. There was no team scoring at the meet. Van Ingen, who transfered from Canisius at the start of the semester, was third in the men's 800 (1:53.54) and seventh in the 1,500 (3:56.00). Johnson, meanwhile, was second in the women's triple jump (38-5) and third in the long jump (17-11). Senior Kim Williams (Buffalo, N.Y.) was third in the women's 400 (57.17). Binghamton travels to the Virginia/Lou Onesty Invitational next Saturday.
