BU Track & Field ends season at NCAA East Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- The Binghamton men's track & field squad sent five athletes to the NCAA East Regional Outdoor Championships this past weekend at Florida State University.

Freshman Cazal Arnett (Jamaica, N.Y.) placed 20th in the 400 (47.36) while junior Justin Halleck (DePew, N.Y.) was 20th in the hammer (168-10). Arnett also joined fellow freshmen Andrew Haupt (Rochester, N.Y.) and Christian Smith (Trumansburg, N.Y.) as well as junior Jimmy Massar (Johnson City, N.Y.) in the 4x400 relay. The quartet placed 15th with a school-record time of 3:12.43.

The top four finishers in each event advanced to the NCAA Championships, which will be held June 11-14 at Drake University.
