Binghamton track & field team open outdoor season at Wake Forest Open

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Freshman Dayna Johnson (Brentwood, N.Y.) won the women's triple jump, highlighting the Binghamton track & field teams' first outdoor meet of the season at the Wake Forest Open on Saturday. She captured the event with a distance of 37-3 1/4 and also was fourth in the 400 hurldes (1:07.80).

Also on the women's side, senior Lindsey Bohrer-Yardley (Oneida, N.Y.) was second in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:30.57), freshman Keisha Short (Yaphank, N.Y.) was fifth in the 400 (58.69) and sixth in the 200 (26.31) and senior Lindsay Warren (Lansing, N.Y.) was fourth in the high jump (5-1 3/4) and sixth in the pole vault (10-10).

On the men's side, junior Adam Goldberg (New Rochelle, N.Y.) placed third in the high jump (6-4) and fourth in the 110 high hurdles (15.31). Sophomore Sam DePaola (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was third in the 400 (51.01)

Binghamton hosts the Bearcat Invitational on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
