BRONX, N.Y.-- Graduate student Craig
Coon and freshman Caitlin
Jelinek were the top Binghamton performers on Saturday
as the cross country squads concluded their seasons at the ECAC/IC4A
Championshps at Van Cortlandt Park. The Bearcat men were fifth
out of 20 teams while the while the women were 6th out of 23rd
squads.
Coon placed 15th overall in the men's race, covering the 8,000-meter
course in a time of 26:12. Senior Adam
Quinn was 21st (26:23), followed by sophomores Anthony
Gaetani in 27th (26:31), Brendan
Connell in 32nd (26:38) and Jason
Santos in 42nd (26:52).
Jeliniek, meanwhile, came in 23rd overall in the women's race,
clocking a time of 26:12 for the 6,000-meter course. Seniors
Alicia
Finger and Ashley
Horton were 36th and 37th with times of 19:17.1 and 19:17.4.
Sophomore Lindsay
Raulli was 42nd (19:22) while freshman Carly
Kiess was 71st (19:50).
On Monday, senior Erik van Ingen will take part in the NCAA Championships
for the second year in a row. The meet, which takes place at
Indiana State University, starts at noon. |
