Horton places fifth overall for BU women's cross country
Mens team takes home third place in season-ending meet

Bronx, N.Y. - Freshman Ashley Horton (Candor, N.Y.) placed fifth overall to lead the Binghamton Cross Country teams to a strong showing at the IC4A/ECAC championships in the Bronx on Saturday afternoon.

Horton's time of 18:39 was good for fifth of 213 runners in the ECAC 5,000-meter race. Binghamton took fifth place in the womens race with 178 points. Junior Katie Radzik (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) was the next Bearcat to cross taking 35th place with a time of 19:35.

Coming in next for the women were junior Jennifer Hastings (Vestal, N.Y.) in 40th place (19:40) and freshman Shannon Finnegan (Niskayuna, N.Y.) in 46th (19:46)

The Binghamton men had one of their best showings of the year taking third place in the IC4A race with 151 team points.

They were led by junior Connor Martin (Fairport, N.Y.) who was 13th in the 8,000-meter course (26:34) and sophomore Craig Coon (Penfield, N.Y.) who was 17th (26:39). The third Bearcat to cross was freshman Casey Quaglia (Bangor, Maine) who placed 34th (26:56).

Freshman Andrew Ugolino (West Hurley, N.Y.) placed 40th with a time of 27:03 and freshman Adam Quinn (Clifton Park, N.Y.) took 52nd place (27:11).

New Hampshire won both the men's and women's races.

This was the final meet of the season for the Bearcats.
