BRONX, N.Y. - VESTAL, N.Y. - Senior Adam Hill and senior Jamie Schulte highlighted the Binghamton Cross Country teams performance at the IC4A-ECAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City. Hill finished in fifth place to lead the men to 10th of 26 teams, while Schulte came in 11th pacing the women at fourth of 23.
Senior Jamie Schulte led the women, placing 11th out of a field of 225. She finished the 5,000-meter course with a time of 19:05. Schulte was followed by the strong showing of Binghamton's sophomore class. Ryann Cretney, Ashley Horton, Alicia Finger and Renee Blair. They finished in 23rd (19:21), 27th (19:24), 35th (19:34) and 47th (19:45) place respectively.
Hill placed fifth out of 235 runners in the men's race, completing the five mile course in a time of 25:54. Sophomore Adam Quinn was the next Bearcat across the line placeing 12th (26:03). Junior Jonathan Peffley rounded out the top-three finishing 61st with a time of (26:58).
Columbia University claimed the women's title and New Hampshire won the men's race. New Hampshire also was victorious at the 2008 America East Championships.
This was the final meet of the season for the Bearcats.
