Radzik earns All-Northeast Region Cross Country honors for second straight year

NEW YORK, N.Y.-- Sophomore Katie Radzik (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive season, highlighting the Binghamton cross country teams' performances at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park. The women's team was 22nd out of 34 schools while the men's team was 23rd out of 34 squads.

Radzik placed 25th out of 228 runners in the women's 6,000-meter race with a time of 22:14. The top 25 runners in the race were named to the All-Northeast Region Team. Last season, Radzik placed 23rd in the meet. Fellow sophomore Jaime Schulte (Tucson, Ariz) was the Bearcats' second runner, placing 110th overall (24:04).

In the men's meet, sophomore Adam Hill (Delmar, N.Y.) was the Bearcats' top finisher, placing 105 in the 10,000-meter race (34:30). Freshman Chris Gaube (Vestal, N.Y.), a 2006 graduate of nearby Vestal High School, was 107th (34:31). There were 230 runners in the men's race.

Binghamton concludes its season next Saturday at the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
