Release: October 17, 2008 Men's
cross country squad impresses at Penn State National Van Ingen finished 26th out of 306 runners in the men's race, completing the 5.2 mile course in a time of 25:55. He was followed by junior Chris Gaube who finished 36th (26:04), sophomore Andrew Ugolino (26:27) who placed 61st, and Sophomore Casey Quaglia who came in 80th (26:40). Rounding out the top runners for the Bearcats were senior Adam Hill who finished 93rd (26:53), sophomore Adam Quinn who placed 107th, (27:05) and junior Jonathan Peffley who came in 129th (27:28). The race featured some nationally
ranked clubs, including No. 8 Georgetown and Villanova who is
currently at the 28th spot. Georgetown scored 43 points to take
the win from the hosting team, Penn State who came in second. The Bearcat men will race next
on Saturday Nov. 1st at the America East Championships. |
