VESTAL, N.Y.--
The America East has released its annual cross country coaches' polls and the Binghamton women's team has been picked to finish fifth out of nine teams at the championship meet, which will take place at Maine on Saturday, Oct. 28. In the men's poll, Binghamton was picked to finish eighth.

Boston's women's team was the unanimous pick to repeat as champions while New Hampshire's men's team, which finished second to UMBC last fall, was the top men's pick. Also on the women's side, New Hampshire and Stony Brook were the second and third place picks respectively. Maine and UMBC finished in the second and third place positions in the men's poll.

Sophomore Katie Radzik (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.), who placed third at the 2005 conference meet and earned All-East Region honors, is the Bearcats' top returnee on the women's side. Fellow sophomore Adam Hill (Delmar, N.Y.) was the men's top performer last season.

Last season, the Binghamton women finished fourth at the conference meet, which was held at Binghamton, while the men were eighth.

Binghamton opens up its season at the Colgate Harry Lang Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 11:30 a.m.
