BU men's cross country team remains ranked in week two of the Northeast Region Poll

Complete Northeast Region Poll

VESTAL, N.Y.--Fresh off their best ever performance at the Lehigh Paul Short Run, the men's cross country team continues to be ranked in the second week of the Northeast Region Poll. The men fall back to the 14th spot, where they started in the pre-season poll.

The number of programs in the Northeast Region varies from year to year and not every squad enters the Regional Championship Meet. Last season, 34 men's teams and 36 women's squads competed at the Nov. 10 event. The Bearcats finished a program-best 16th in the women's meet and 21st in the men's race.

Sophomore Erik van Ingen highlighted the Binghamton Cross Country teams' performance at the Lehigh Paul Short Run. The men placed 20th out of 45 teams and have been steadily improving, as they finished 24th last year at Lehigh, and 35th the year before.

Other men that have been part of the lead pack are junior Chris Gaube, sophomores Adam Quinn and Andrew Ugolino and senior Adam Hill.

Both Binghamton squads will return to action on Oct. 17th at Penn State National Open.
