Brian resigns as Binghamton softball head coach

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Ali Brian, who has been the Binghamton University head softball coach since 2007, has resigned for personal reasons. The athletic department will begin a national search for her replacement immediately.

Brian is the second coach in Binghamton's eight-year Division I history. She replaced longtime coach Holly Brown, who was at the helm of the program from 1995-06.

"I want to thank the staff and community at Binghamton for giving me the chance to coach the Bearcats," Brian said. "I have enjoyed my three years with them and I wish the university the best of luck in the future."
