Colgate 14, Binghamton 6
Delaware State 10, Binghamton 2

NORFOLK, Va. - Binghamton (2-6) lost its final two games at Norfolk State's Spartan Clash on Sunday. The Bearcats fell to Colgate 14-6 in five innings before losing to Delaware State 10-2 in six innings in the tournament consolation game. The Bearcats were 0-4 on the weekend.

Colgate (5-4) jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the second inning and extended the score to 14-1 after four innings. Binghamton plated five runs in the top of the fifth but it wasn't enough to close within the eight-run mercy rule and the game was called.

Colgate's Stephanie Hartquist was 2-for-4 with four runs batted in and the Raiders scored 15 runs on only nine hits.

Binghamton received a three-run home run from sophomore Kelly Schuldt and Nicole Constantatos was 3-for-3 with a solo home run.

Binghamton faced Delaware State (6-4) in the tournament's consolation game but suffered its second defeat in as many days to the Hornets.

Delaware State took a 5-2 lead into the sixth but put five runs on the board in the bottom of the inning to end the game early.

Andrea Waters and Breanne Parr each had three hits and three runs batted in and each had a home run for Delaware State and Binghamton's Michelle Olivieri was 3-for-4.

The Bearcats will be off until they take part in the UMBC Spring Classic with five games March 21-22.

Senior Sandy Meadows was 4-for-6 on the day and currently has a 10-game hitting streak.
