Burrell to begin BU softball coaching tenure with busy fall ball schedule

VESTAL, N.Y. -- First-year softball head coach Michelle Burrell has recently announced Binghamton's eight-game 2009 fall ball schedule. Burrell took over the softball program in June, after leading the University of Rochester to three consecutive NCAA appearances and a 117-50 record over four years.

"I am very anxious to start our fall season," Burrell said. "I am also excited to see the team on the field and to start working with the players. This fall will be the beginning to seeing an overall change in environment for the Bearcat Softball program."

The Bearcats will open their fall campaign on September 19-20 at BAGSAI field at nearby Broome Community College. The following two weekends will be spent at the Cornell and Marist invites, respectively.
