Bearcats lose to Lehigh 4-3

HARRISONBURG, VA.--In the final game of pool play, the Binghamton softball team (6-3-1) was defeated by Lehigh 4-3 at the James Madison Duke Invitational on Saturday morning. The Bearcats are seeded third out of four team heading into the bracket round and will face No. 2 Lehigh at 3 p.m.

Against Lehigh this morning, senior pitcher Michelle Weeks (Bunnell, Fla./ Flagler Palm Coast) suffered her second loss in as many outings. Her record fell to 2-2 on the season. Offensively, shortstop Rose Barre (Watertown, N.Y./ General Brown) went 2-for-4, freshman third baseman Sara Eppolito (Manlius, N.Y./ Fayetteville-Manlius) went 2-for-2. freshman infielder Christina Quijano (Syracuse, N.Y./ Westhill) went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and sophomore infielder Nicole Vitello (Olean, N.Y./ Olean) also went 2-for-4.
