CAMBRIDGE, MASS. -- Junior Deannie Plemon earned her first career America East Player of the Week award while sophomore Kristen Emerling was the co-Pitcher of the Week and Jessica Phillips was named the Rookie of the Week as BU swept the weekly conference softball awards.

The trio helped lift Binghamton (19-12, 6-6 AE) to a 4-1 week that included a three-game sweep of conference foe Hartford.

Plemon's walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh vaulted BU to an 8-7 win over Hartford on Sunday. In the game, Plemon was 4-for-4 with five RBI, two home runs and a double. On the week, Plemon was 8-for-15 (.533) with nine RBI, three home runs and a 1.267 slugging percentage. Plemon is now the single-season record holder at Binghamton for most home runs (10) and most RBI (33) and also holds the career record for most home runs (19).

Emerling received Co-Pitcher of the Week honors by going 3-0 on the week with a 0.00 ERA in 13.1 innings. Emerling gave up 12 hits, three runs, no earned runs and struck out five. Emerling pitched a five-inning complete game shutout over Niagara, pitched a five-inning complete game win over Hartford, allowing three runs, but none earned and finished her week by picking up another win over Hartford, pitching 3.1 inning of scoreless relief. On the season, Emerling has yet to allow a run when coming out of the bullpen. She has pitched 23.1 innings of relief in nine games. Emerling has also raised her record to 11-2 on the year, which ties the single-season school record for most wins.

Phillips earned her second top rookie award of the year by batting .412 with six RBI, a homer and a triple. Phillips was 2-for-3 with an RBI in BU's 8-0 win over Niagara. She batted 5-for-11 (.455) in the three-game sweep of Hartford with five RBI. Phillips was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored in Binghamton's 14-3 win over the Hawks and was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored in BU's 8-7 win over Hartford.
