Throughout the 2009 season, Binghamton softball players will be featured in up-close player profiles that will seek to provide in-depth information and insight that goes beyond the press releases and media guide.

My biggest athletic thrill: Winning Central Coast Sections in California for the 10th time out of 11 years for my high school team my senior year.

My pregame superstition: NEVER EVER chew gum the day of a game = Bad Luck!!

What is your favorite part about your sport: Throwing runners out and keeping a runner on third from scoring by blocking every ball in the dirt.

My first memory of softball: Playing T-ball for a little rec team when I was in kindergarten called Girl Power.

Jorge Posada

Favorite sports movie:
For Love of the Game

Best sporting event ever attended: USC v. Notre Dame Football Game

My favorite Binghamton restaurant:
Lupo's! I love speedies!

The teammate that will be most successful after college:
Sandy Meadows. She has so many leadership qualities and a lot of drive. She will go far in life.

Most famous person ever met: TAYLOR SWIFT!!!


What do you see yourself doing after Binghamton:
Owning my own business.

Who had the greatest impact on my life:
My parents. They are the greatest people I know and they have shaped me into who I am today.

My best non-athletic talent:
Writing short stories.

Pre-game rituals:
Listen to my i-pod before every game.
