Binghamton volleyball falls to Albany 3-0

ALBANY, NY. - Binghamton (9-12, 4-1) dropped its first conference match of the season to Albany (13-8, 5-0), 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-20) in an America East volleyball match on Friday evening.

Albany was led by Amanda Cowdrey, who had 15 kills and 11 digs and Kamisha Kellam, who had 10 kills.

As a team, the Great Danes hit at a .414 percentage.

"We couldnt stop their offense," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "They hit at will against us, hitting over .400. We have to regroup and get back in the swing of things against UMBC on Sunday."

For Binghamton, sophomore hitter Anna Lejina posted 12 kills and sophomore hitter Michelle McDonough scooped up 13 digs while contributing six kills.

The loss snapped a five-match win streak for the Bearcats.

Binghamton will return to action at UMBC on Sunday at 2 p.m.
